Dale Van Valkenburg – Planning Manager – Brooks Resources Corporation
Dale is an Oregon native who grew up in a small town in the Klamath Mountains of Southern Oregon. He has lived in Bend the past 20 years with his wife Charlotte and their two teen-age kids, Meredith and Hendrick.
Dale has had an active role in shaping the fabric of Bend as a planner for Deschutes County, as a land use consultant with the law firm of Bryant Lovlien & Jarvis, as the current planning manager for City of Bend, and currently as the planning manager for Brooks Resources Corporation.
Dale enjoys the wide range of outdoor activities outside his doorstep in Central Oregon, but he tends to focus his recreational efforts and resources most intensely on white water rafting. Other than raising two brilliant and beautiful children and maintaining a happy marriage for more than 20 years, Dale’s proudest accomplishment is rowing his own raft on a three week trip through the Grand Canyon.
